2008 ReunionThe 310th Foulke Family Reunion has been scheduled for July 5th and 6th, 2008!!! We will, once again, hold the reunion in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania at the same hotel where the reunion was held in 1998 (the name of the hotel has changed from The Sheraton to The Valley Forge Raddison Hotel). The hotel is located in Valley Forge Park where George Washington spent the winter before the famous Battle at Trenton. The reunion weekend will have something for everyone! The committee is planning to have many more gettogether sessions, education sessions where we can learn about the history our family, and special guests from different parts of the country to speak about our history. In addition, Thomas Woodcock, the head of the College of Heraldry, will once again speak about our family lineage, and our relationship to royalty and England. One of the nice things about being Chairman of this Reunion Committee is that I have been able to meet cousins from all over the world who have expressed the desire to attend the reunion. We missed many cousins at the 1998 reunion because we didn’t have their addresses. As you remember, we recently sent out the Foulke Family Directory for your review. It is extremely important that you, our cousins who receive this newsletter, review the directory and send us the addresses of any missing family members. Please supply any updated or new addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses via email to foulkelore@aol.com or use the form on the back of the newsletter. This is the only way we can find our missing cousins throughout world. Also, don’t be afraid to pass on the newsletters and spread the word about the 310th Family Reunion in Pennsylvania. As you remember, over 825 family members attended the 300th Family Reunion in 1998 and we would like to meet even more at the 310th Reunion!! Anyone interested in working on the Reunion Committee or assisting Ann Hellmann with our genealogy, please email or write us a letter. We will have an in-person committee meeting next year in order to plan the reunion and need as many helping hands as possible. If you are interested in writing for the newsletter, please send us your article and we will try to put it in the newsletter. We would love to hear about the great things that are happening in your family, awards or recognition, let us know and we will get that information out to the rest of the family. We have a rich family history -- the incredible story of our ancestors coming to America with their nine children over 300 years ago was only the beginning. Our family has been an important part of history in this country from helping form the first national government, begin colleges and universities throughout the United States to being replete with inventors and discoverers. Our family is also very blessed with strong religious beliefs in the Friends Society. We continue to see the tapestry of our rich family history grow with our present family members. We look forward to seeing you all in 2008 over the Fourth of July weekend. We will keep you informed about the special rates for the hotels and what the events of the weekend will be. Bruce Foulke, Chairman
